FebruaryLuxembourg's gas consumption drops 22% year-on-year

RTL Today
Luxembourg's natural gas consumption fell by just over 22% in February, compared to the same period from 2017 to 2022.

With the cost of energy rising since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, European governments have tried to encourage residents and businesses to reduce their gas consumption where possible.

Luxembourg exceeded the European Union target of a 15% drop, according to the Ministry of Energy’s report published on Friday.

Electricity consumption is also continuing to fall: in February, consumption was around 9% less than the reference period between 2017 and 2022.
