Cases of sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise in Luxembourg, mirroring a concerning trend across Europe.

In 2023, syphilis cases in the country increased by 16%, chlamydia by 7%, and gonorrhoea by nearly 30%. These alarming statistics highlight the urgent need for early detection and prevention.

To support this screening initiative, KetterThill and Bionext laboratories, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the HIV Counselling Service of the Red Cross, and Abrigado, are offering free and anonymous testing.

This service aims to make screening accessible and reduce the stigma around testing, fostering a proactive approach to sexual health.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and visit the laboratories for a free test.
