The Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF) has issued a warning about scammers misusing the name of its president, Maureen Wiwinius. The CSSF, which oversees Luxembourg’s financial sector, clarified that it never reaches out through its board to request documents or payments from supervised entities.
The CSSF also highlighted that all legitimate emails from the Commission include the address @cssf.lu.
Additionally, the CSSF has identified fraudulent activity involving individuals claiming to work for Banque de Luxembourg S.A. Scammers are using fake email addresses that replicate the bank’s name, logo, and address to promote fraudulent savings and investment products.
