Luxembourg City is gearing up for significant utility and development works that are set to take place in various locations throughout the capital. The works will commence at 6am on Monday 4 September and are expected to conclude by 6pm on Friday 14 September.
The project involves work on Rue Benjamin Franklin and Rue Christoph Willibald Gluck. These roads will be closed to traffic between Rue Georges Clemenceau (intersection included) and Rue Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (intersection included).
Rue Christophe Colomb will see its traffic direction reversed between Rue Benjamin Franklin and Rue Aristide Briand for the duration of the works.
Additionally, the section of Rue Georges Clemenceau between Rue Benjamin Franklin and Rue Aristide Briand will also be closed to traffic. However, local residents and delivery services will still be allowed access to this part of Rue Georges Clemenceau.
As for Rue W. A. Mozart, it will remain accessible either via Benjamin Franklin or the Gluck roundabout, depending on how the works progress.

The development works will also impact the municipal bus services. The bus stops ‘Clemenceau’ and ‘Richard Wagner’ will temporarily not be served by AVL lines 13 and 23. Passengers are advised to use alternative bus stops like ‘Bei der Auer’ on Rue de Gasperich or ‘Millewee’ on Muhlenweg during this period.
Given the substantial nature of these works, commuters and residents are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and be prepared for delays or changes in their usual travel paths.
