Kersch was rather harsh with the CSV, the largest opposition party in Luxembourg, which chose Luc Frieden as its lead candidate for the general elections in October. MP Kersch expressed doubts that his party and the CSV would be able to find common ground on various issues, most notably fiscal policies.
Kersch went on to criticise the CSV’s questioning of the climate crisis and attacked party president Claude Wiseler, who, according to the LSAP politician, “broke consensus against the privatisation of the health system”, as reported by Paperjam.
Finally, the MP also expressed his view that the LSAP does not want to associate itself with a party that wants to bring the public debt below 20% of GDP.
