The motorist was driving down a motorway in Luxembourg on 23 January 2023 when the incident occurred. The user posted the video to Reddit.
As the driver was about overtake a truck driving in the right lane, a large object flies off the truck and bounces several times before violently hitting the car’s windshield.
Both drivers come to an immediate standstill on the hard shoulder. “At least he stopped,” commented internet users, referring to the lorry driver.
A final still image shows the vehicle’s windshield, which is completely cracked from the object’s impact.
A lucky escape: Had there been a person in the passenger seat, the incident could have resulted in real injuries.
