According to initial information, the manure contained in the lorry is in danger of spilling into the river, the Schwaarz Iernz ("Black Ernz"), which the fire brigade on site is trying to prevent.
A clean-up operation is underway. According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), one person was injured when the truck overturned.
The tanker contained 10,000 litres of manure. Barriers have already been put up in the river in case the manure starts to spread.
The road is closed to traffic until further notice, to facilitate the intervention of the emergency services.
