FC Bayern Munich are set to visit newly promoted SV Elversberg in Germany's Saarland region on Sunday for the third match day of the Bundesliga. According to the Saarbrücker Zeitung, the German record champions will land at Luxembourg's Findel airport on Saturday at around 6pm as part of their away trip. From the airport runway, the squad will board their team coach and continue directly toward Saarland.
Given this schedule, Luxembourg-based Bayern supporters are unlikely to catch a glimpse of the team at Findel. However, there may be more opportunities at the hotel FC Bayern have chosen for their overnight stay. As reported by the Saarbrücker Zeitung, stars such as Olise, Kane, and Neuer will spend the night at Victor's Residenz-Hotel Schloss Berg in Nennig, located just across the Luxembourg border.
Because FC Bayern have a Champions League fixture against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, no training session is scheduled for Saturday evening.
The match is set to kick off at 5.30pm on Sunday in the Ursapharm-Arena an der Kaiserlinde, which accommodates only 10,000 spectators. Elversberg, who were promoted this season, have surprised many by winning their first two matches. Bayern, meanwhile, will be looking to secure three points after dropping points against Schalke last weekend.
