The lorry driver fell ill while driving on the A1 motorway on Monday morning. After briefly loosing control, his vehicle crossed over into the opposing lane where he touched on an oncoming car. He managed to regain control over the lorry and get to a stillstand at the side of the motorway. However, due to the severity of his indisposition, the 38-year-old man died at the scene.
The prosecutor's office indicated that an autopsy will be conducted. The inflicted car driver survived the incident without injuries.
Another traffic occurred later on Monday evening in Merl. Around 6.15 pm, a pedestrian was hit by a car on boulevard Pierre Dupong. Emergency services from Mamer were called to the scene.
