The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), which announced the incident on Monday morning, stressed that there was “no real danger” for the integrity of the nuclear power plant.
Reactor one was halted and nuclear fuel rods removed due to a flaw in the water filters of reactors one and two. Since it took authorities 54 minutes to resolve the issue, they were required to declare the incident.
