The speed restriction of 90km/h in rush hour, on the A6 and A1 motorways, will last until the Christmas holidays.

Presented in May, the measures were first implemented on 3 June 2019. The first test phase proved to be successful, leading to better traffic flow overall - which in turn has led to the test phase being extended in order to provide a full report in 2020.

The speed restriction applies to the A6 and A1 motorways of the Belgian border, from Luxembourg (Sterpenich) to the Kirchberg interchange. This measure is not applied during holidays or school holidays.
