The second day of their visit started with a tour of the military centre in Diekirch, where the King of the Belgians and the Grand Duke laid a sheaf in front of a plaque commemorating soldiers who died for their country. A minute of silence was held in memory of two minesweepers who were killed in February in an accident with a grenade.
The heads of state will then tour the headquarters of satellite operators SES in Betzdorf, before visiting Belval and the Neumünster Abbey Cultural Exchange Centre. The second day of the state visit will conclude with a concert at the Philharmonie.
