Astron Buildings specialises in producing prefabricated steel structures. Earlier in June, the company’s management revealed plans to discontinue production in Luxembourg within the next two years, directly impacting 80 employees.
The company’s headquarters is expected to remain in the country. The Briand group, which recently acquired Astron Buildings, had previously stated that the Luxembourg production site is “no longer competitive.”
The trade unions, however, have pointed to a lack of investment as a contributing factor to the challenges faced by the company.
