The Luxembourg police had to respond to multiple incidents caused by intoxicated individuals on Wednesday afternoon.

Following a witness report, police stopped an intoxicated motorist in the drive-through lane of a fast-food restaurant in Bereldange. The driver was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities intervened in two separate cases involving intoxication and aggression late Wednesday evening.

The first incident occurred at around 10pm in Esch-sur-Alzette, where an individual assaulted a shop manager on Boulevard Kennedy before turning violent toward responding officers. Due to their level of intoxication and perceived danger to others, the individual was detained overnight.

Approximately an hour later, police were called to a bar in Luxembourg City, where an intoxicated patron repeatedly attempted to open bottles without permission. The individual remained uncooperative with officers and was subsequently held in custody to sober up.
