An intoxicated motorist attempted to evade a police check on Friday night, resulting in a police chase at around 11.15pm. A police patrol eventually intercepted the errant driver on Rue Victor Hugo, Esch.
The driver was forced to undergo a blood alcohol test, which yielded positive results. A subsequent screening showed that the driver had also consumed cannabis prior to getting behind the wheel. He was fined on the spot and a police report was filed.
