Police intervened in Berdorf on Tuesday evening. A patrol was called to “Op Kisecker” street following reports of a cyclist who had fallen and appeared to be intoxicated.
When attended to by emergency services, the man reportedly proved uncooperative. Police were required to intervene before he agreed to undergo checks. He was then taken to hospital, where a breathalyser test was carried out.
The test confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol. Due to his behaviour towards officers, the cyclist was subsequently placed in a sobering cell.
