Witnesses told police officers that the driver in question had been drinking. Officers then found the bumper of the car and noted that some hedges were damaged. As the driver had fled the scene, officers visited him at home.
Although the officers explained the breathalyser procedure to the man as well as the consequences of refusing the test, he steadfastly refused to take the alcohol test. Police had no choice but to withdraw his license.
Another police patrol withdrew a different driver's license at 1.15 am on Saturday. A witness reported a car driving in a zig zag on the N15 towards Schumannseck. The man followed the driver until the police arrived.
