Police BulletinIncidents at Schueberfouer and Esch Hospital lead to arrests

RTL Today
In recent updates from the police, instances of violence and disturbances have been recorded at both the Schueberfouer and a hospital in Esch-sur-Alzette. These events resulted in the arrest of two individuals.

On Tuesday evening, a drunk man caused disruption at the Schueberfouer. The individual’s aggressive behaviour led to a “breach of public order,” according to the police bulletin. Concerns for his safety and the safety of others prompted authorities to place him under custody. Prior to this, a medical assessment was conducted to ensure his well-being.

Simultaneously, on the same evening, law enforcement was called to the hospital in Esch-sur-Alzette due to the troubling behaviour of an evidently inebriated individual. The person’s actions were found to be disruptive to both hospital staff and fellow patients. Given the compromised state of the individual and the potential risk he posed, he was also taken into custody.

Large-scale traffic check on the E44

A major inspection of vehicles along the E44 towards Pétange took place during Tuesday afternoon. The operation focused on checking the validity of vehicle registration documents. Among the outcomes, 26 instances revealed irregularities in the documentation. In five cases, drivers were unable to present proof of passing the technical inspection, while seven vehicles displayed expired tax stickers. Four additional cases pertained to issues with vehicle registration.

In addition, one person was fined for mobile phone usage while driving. Four vehicles were towed due to observed technical deficiencies or the absence of valid insurance. 12 police officers hailing from various units and stations participated in the check.

Burglaries

Finally, the police addressed a series of reported burglaries. Among these incidents were break-ins in Hollerich flats, the Gare district of Luxembourg City, and Esch-sur-Alzette. In a specific occurrence on Rue d’Audun in Esch, an individual unlawfully entered an unoccupied building, leading to his apprehension. Another case involved the theft of construction materials from a site on Rue Guillaume Capus in Esch.
