The “House of Biohealth” mainly accommodates small and medium-sized companies from the biotechnology and digital health technology sectors. The building provides them with both laboratory and office space. The House of Biohealth employs around 450 people and has received a €60 million investment from private and public investors.
Another project that is currently being planned is the “Campus Heal,” according to Romain Poulles, one of the investors.
The Campus Heal is planned to be a hub for “many other economic activities in the field of future medicine.” Poulles also sees opportunities for collaborations with the Südspidol (“Southern Hospital”) and other initiatives that are already in the works, such as the Ärztehaus (“Doctors’ House”).
The Campus Heal will feature a dozen new buildings and 120,000 square metres of business space. The campus is planned to be finished in the next ten to fifteen years. The master plan is expected to be completed by the middle of this year, with construction beginning at the end of next year, Poulles explained.
