Greenpeace Luxembourg has planted its third micro forest in the Grand Duchy, this time in Mamer, following previous initiatives in Mertzig and Esch-sur-Alzette. The organisation’s goal, as stated in this press release (GER), is to promote biodiversity and address global warming on a local level.
In collaboration with the municipality of Mamer, Greenpeace Luxembourg plans to plant 900 trees and shrubs across 300 square metres. Xavier Turquin, the organisation’s director, expressed hope that the project would inspire other municipalities to take action for a sustainable future.
