On Tuesday, lawmakers in the Chamber of Deputies voted on the potential prolonging of existing energy subsidies, deciding to extend some until 2025. The CSV-DP government had decided ahead of the vote to extend the previous government’s energy subsidies until the end of September. As no corresponding law had been passed, the issue was thus put to a vote in the Chamber on Tuesday.
From this month on, the state will now only contribute half the costs for solar installations. The government will continue to bear 50% of costs to replace oil or gas boilers with more climate-friendly options until the end of 2025.
The subsidies for energy renovation will also be extended, remaining at their current level. These subsidies will now apply until the end of 2025.
