The aim of the aid is to further de-carbonise private mobility, explains the Ministry of the Environment in a press release.

The actual financial aid remains unchanged, amounting to 50% of the cost of purchase and installation (excluding VAT). However, the scheme has now been extended to 31 December 2024, and is set to be expanded.

Furthermore, you can now receive aid for this scheme through a leasing company. The installation of charging points has been made more straightforward, as well.

The private charging points scheme was first introduced in 2020, and has since been granted to more than 3,500 individuals.
