The journey wasn’t easy. After setting off from Luxembourg in mid-July, Seb crossed 10 countries, finally reaching Istanbul on Wednesday.
As if this wasn’t interesting enough, he did the journey using a Vël’OK (a bike share service in Esch). “The three-speed Vël’OK is far from being a bike designed for long journeys,” he wrote on social media.
He further explained that the motivation behind his remarkable journey was to raise money for the Luxembourgish NGO CSI Lëtzebuerg, which provides schooling for refugee children and youngsters in Rwanda.
“I was touched by the determination of these children to learn despite the obstacles,” he commented.
Seb hopes his journey will encourage his followers to donate to the cause. “Every euro counts”, he stressed.
