The MP from the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR) was a guest at RTL Radio on Wednesday morning.

Keup was first asked about one of his recent facebook posts, in which the ADR politician criticised a statement made by Laura Zuccoli, the president of the Association for the Support of Immigrant Workers (ASTI). RTL Today article: Laura Zuccoli files complaint for defamation and incitement to hatredKeup showed little understanding for ASTI introducing legal steps against persons unknown, given that the facebook profiles behind the comments were clearly visible. The ADR politician still stands behind the criticism he posted, arguing that the accusations of discrimination against students from Cape Verde, detailed by Zuccoli in a "Carte Blanche" on RTL, were unfounded.

Keup acknowledged that many of the online comments were certainly marked by a rough tone, but he believes that a political figure like Zuccoli should be able to endure these. Of course there are limits, but people also treat him with the same lack of disrespect, Keup noted. In cases where people go too far, legal steps are the right way to move forward, he concluded.
