They then offer to take care of the problem over the phone and therefore enquire about personal details and bank accounts, which they would need to bill the service. The police advise people not to take any calls from unknown numbers to avoid the threat of being scammed.
In case people have already fallen victim to one of these fraudsters, the police further advise to file an official complaint.
