
Shortly before 1pm, a motorcyclist was injured after falling heavily onto the road on Rue de Grundhof in Berdorf. He was treated by local firefighters and taken to hospital by an ambulance crew from Echternach.
A few minutes later, a collision between a car and a motorcycle left two people injured on the CR322 between Consthum and Kautenbach. Contacted by RTL, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) was not yet able to confirm whether or not two people had been on the motorcycle.
A large emergency response was mobilised, including the helicopter from the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU), two ambulances from Clervaux and Wiltz, and crews from the Hosingen and Putscheid emergency response centres.
Earlier, at around 10.30am, the SAMU helicopter had already been dispatched to the north of the country to assist a motorcyclist injured in a collision between his motorcycle and a car on the CR535 between Selz and Bastendorf. The Nordstad ambulance and crews from the Bettendorf and Tandel intervention and rescue centres were also mobilised.
On Sunday evening at 6.12pm, one person was injured in an accident at Kirchberg.
Shortly before 8pm, a crash occurred on the slip road from the A6 onto the A4 heading towards Luxembourg City. One person was injured here too. According to police, the car turned over onto its roof. The driver was handed a provisional driving ban after she was found to have been at the wheel under the influence of drugs.
In both instances, emergency crews from the capital attended the scene.
