The National Roads Administration has announced that the left turn at the Lankelz junction will be permanently closed from around 10pm on 31 July.
The change will affect drivers travelling on the A4 from Audun-le-Tiche who wish to join the A13 towards Pétange.
According to the administration, the measure is intended to improve road safety, as the current layout has led to dangerous situations and accidents at the junction.
Drivers heading towards Pétange will instead be asked to take exit 7, "Raemerich", from the B40 and follow the N37 to exit 4, "Ehlerange". From there, they will be able to join the A13 towards Pétange.
The National Roads Administration said permanent signs would be installed to guide motorists along the diversion route.
