Emergency services were deployed in Diekirch at lunchtime following a fire.

According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), shortly before 12.30pm, the Nordstad and Angeldorf fire brigades were dispatched to rue du Marché in Diekirch, where a cable fire broke out at a residence. Four people sustained injuries as a result.

In a separate incicdent. a person was hit by a car on the N11 towards Gonderange at 3pm, suffering injuries in the process.

Also around 3pm, smoke was observed from a property on Rue Guillaume in Belair. Hesperange, Mamer and Luxembourg City fire fighters investigated. No injuries were reported.

Also reported, a car and a van collided on the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette at 4.30pm, leaving one person with injuries.
