The Luxembourg emergency services report that five people were injured in four accidents across the country on early Thursday morning.

It was a busy morning for the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), as its teams had to be despatched several times even before 8am on Thursday.

At around 6.40am, three cars were involved in an accident near the Howald tunnel on the A1 in the direction of Trier. The incident left one person injured and caused significant traffic congestion.

Simultaneously, a traffic accident occurred between Lentzweiler and Boxhorn. The Emergency Medical Assistance Team (SAMU) from Ettelbruck was despatched to treat one person.

Another accident occurred between Koetschette and Grevels, also leaving one person injured.

Two cars collided on Biedergaass in Mondercange shortly before 8am. Two people were injured in this accident.
