The demand was made in a letter from Swiss lawyers representing the Non-Violence Project Foundation, which manages the rights to the sculpture created by Swedish artist Carl Frederik Reuterswärd.
The foundation has given the adr until the end of May to remove all posters and digital representations of the artwork, according to a report by the newspaper Luxemburger Wort on Tuesday. The Non-Violence Project asserts that the use of the “Knotted Gun” by the adr goes against the foundation’s values and beliefs.
The adr is currently discussing its response to the ultimatum. However, party spokesperson Dan Hardy already told Luxemburger Wort, “Let them press charges.”
