Until the mid 1990s, both offices and school classes of the local municipality were inside the building, so children’s laughter is no strange sound to the place. The idea is to keep the basic structure intact and add a second connected building.
About 2,200 people live in Manternach and the growing population demands more daycare facilities. The new building is expected to eventually welcome 57 children across 15 different class rooms.
Construction work is expected to cost €5 million and is scheduled to be concluded by the end of 2024.
