Regarding the Prime Minister’s state of the nation address, Fokus believes that the government has handled the crisis well but is showing signs of weakness. It also deplores the absence of education and training in the Prime Minister’s speech. Engel believes that putting voltaic panels on new buildings should have raised the question of training in the craft trades. The shortage in the sector is not going to disappear by itself, he continues.
For the new party, the leasehold bill sends the wrong message. If the financial attractiveness decreases, individuals will invest less and rent out properties on their own. As the current economic model is built on the growth of society and on constant change, this measure is completely counterproductive. The rental property market should not be neglected, explains Engel.
As of October, the Fokus party constitutes of 150 members, of which Frank Engel has been appointed head of the parliamentary election list.
