The driver crossed from the A31 onto the A3, heading towards Luxembourg, where he was stopped and checked by Luxembourg police shortly afterwards.
Checks revealed that the driver had consumed excessive amounts of alcohol and that the vehicle was not insured. The car was subsequently seized.
On Sunday morning, police received a report of a heavily intoxicated driver in Koerich. A patrol located and stopped the vehicle in Steinfort. The alcohol test returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued.
In the early hours of Monday morning, police spotted a car travelling at a very high speed on Rue Adolphe Fischer in the Gare district. Officers stopped the vehicle and carried out checks. The driver tested positive for alcohol and had his licence revoked.
