
Police set up one of the checks on the N34 in Bertrange, near the Rue des Thermes, from 10.30 to 11.30pm on Saturday. 84 motorists were stopped and subjected to alcohol tests. Two came back positive and will have to expect legal proceedings despite being allowed to keep their licenses.
The second check was set up on Route d’Arlon, also in Mamer, from 12.30 to 2am on Sunday morning. Three out of 64 motorists tested positive for alcohol. No licenses were revoked, but two will have to expect legal proceedings while the third was fined.
