Motorists travelling on the A1 motorway towards Trier will no longer be able to take a direct route to the airport, but instead will be redirected through Senningerberg.
A diversion will be put in place from Monday 6 March to link up the road to Trier (N1) using this new route. The intersection will also be equipped with traffic lights throughout the duration of the works.
The works are expected to last until 2024.
