Following Wednesday night’s deadline for the official list submission, a draw was performed on Thursday morning to finalise the allocation of list numbers. This process only affected the parties that had not taken part in the recent municipal elections - the previous participants will keep their number, and they are as follows:

List 1 – Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP)
List 2 – Democratic Party (DP)
List 3 – Green Party (déi Gréng)
List 4 – Christian Social People’s Party (CSV)
List 5 – Left Party (déi Lénk)
List 6 – Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR)
List 7 – Pirate Party (PIRATEN)
List 8 – *
List 9 – FOCUS

*The empty number belongs to Mir d’Vollek, who did not present themselves for the upcoming elections - hence, number 8 shall remain unused.

The more interesting news pertains to the four new parties taking part in today’s draw, and their order:

List 10 – Volt (East and South Electoral Districts)
List 11 – Communist Party Luxembourg (KPL) (Center, East and South)
List 12 – Liberty-Freedom! (Liberté-Fräiheet!)
List 13 – The Conservatives - Freedomparty (déi Konservativ-d’Fräiheetspartei) (North and South)

We can expect a rather busy ballot on October 8, considering that, unless otherwise noted above, most parties will be in contention for all four districts.
