Orientation in primary school is a process which involves both educators and parents. Over the course of the last two years, the teachers and parents meet to discuss the child’s prospects and make a decision over secondary schooling based on factors such as the pupil’s performance and results in their usual classes, as well as their results in communal tests set by the Ministry of Education at national level. Parents may also opt to involve an educational psychologist to help make the decision.
