In a significant move against potential burglars, the police have carried out a substantial operation in Luxembourg City, aimed at curbing burglary incidents.

A major police operation took place in the capital on Thursday morning. 24 police officers from various departments conducted thorough inspections as part of a concerted effort to combat burglaries.

Targeted checks were carried out specifically in the Bonnevoie and Grund districts. The operation resulted in the apprehension of a total of 11 individuals, with nine of them escorted to the police station for identity verification.

In total, 24 police officers from various departments, as well as the judicial police and the dog team, took part in the operation. This initiative comes in response to a recent surge in reported thefts, encompassing residential properties, flats, houses, as well as shops and construction sites.
