Emergency services were busy on Saturday, responding to a total of eight accidents across the country, which resulted in seven injuries.

Around 1pm, two cars collided on Rue Bamertal in Diekirch, with Nordstad rescue services attending the scene.

Half an hour later, another collision occurred on the CR321 between Dahl and Nocher, though no injuries were reported. Paramedics from Hosingen and firefighters from Gilsdorf were dispatched.

In the city, a two-car collision on Boulevard Joseph II left one person injured, prompting a response from the city’s rescue teams.

Shortly before 3pm, an emergency call was made regarding an accident on the N13 between Bettembourg and Hellingen. Firefighters from Bettembourg and paramedics from Schifflange managed the scene.

At 3.10pm on the A13 towards Pétange, another two-car collision resulted in one injury, with Esch and Sanem-Differdange rescue teams on site.

Around 4pm, a cyclist was hit by a car on Route de Luxembourg in Echternach, sustaining serious injuries. The Air Rescue helicopter transported the cyclist to the hospital, with support from Echternach and Mertert rescuers.

Later that afternoon, two individuals sustained injuries in an accident in the village of Christnach. The incident occurred on Rue de Larochette at 5.13pm and involved a single vehicle. Emergency services responded by dispatching two ambulances, two fire vehicles, and the Air Rescue helicopter to the scene. Rescue teams from Echternach, Larochette, and Waldbillig were involved in the response. The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.

Two people were injured on our roads a few hours later, in Rodange. The accident occurred on Route de Longwy just before midnight and involved two cars. An ambulance and a fire truck were dispatched.
