More than 12,000 candidates signed up for further education courses at the Lifelong Learning Center last year. The majority, more than 10,000, registered for evening classes, internet seminars or Luxembourgish courses. Some 1,600 people completed work-related certifications.

Now, the Lifelong Learning Center has released a number of training courses specially aimed at senior citizens.

Extrait Nora Back

Nora Back, president of the Chamber of Employees, which runs the initiative, said it was a new offering which had been particularly well received. An additional brochure has been created for senior citizens, covering useful topics such as courses on pension preparation, computers, nutrition and health, or more leisurely subjects such as art, physical activity, or heritage.

These courses are aimed at people aged 60 and up.

Starting this term, courses will be held in Remich, and the Wiltz lessons have been expanded.
