The man behaved aggressively towards other guests and refused go leave the pub.
Despite this, the obviously drunk man disappeared for a little while, only to pull up in his vehicle in front of the pub entrance. Police officers found the man's car with the engine still running, and the inebriated man quickly admitted that it was his car.
Police officers had the man take an alcohol test, which was of course positive.
However, the scene turned ugly when police officers told the man he would have to accompany them to the police station. The drunk man got increasingly belligerent and started to become verbally and physically abusive. A police officer promptly put the man in handcuffs to keep him from hurting either himself or somebody else.
While the man was being taken to the police station, he became even more physically aggressive and even threatened to kill one of the officers.
At the police station, the man was placed in the drunk tank. His licence was seized and a temporary driving ban was issued against him. An official complaint was also made against the man.
