The driver was checked by officers, who found that he was over the alcohol limit. His licence was revoked, and he was treated by paramedics for minor injuries. A nearby parked car was also damaged in the incident.
The police also reported a further case of drink driving on the road from Thionville (FR) to Hesperange. The motorist had drawn attention to herself because she was stopped in the middle of the road, arguing with her companions.
The driver was subjected to a blood alcohol test which confirmed that she was intoxicated. Her licence was withdrawn on the spot.
