At around 1.30am on early Wednesday morning, a car with Luxembourgish number plates evaded a police check near the Belgian town of Athus and headed for the Grand Duchy.

The Luxembourg police managed to locate the vehicle in question with three men on board in Rodange. During the check, it became clear that the driver was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Belgian judiciary. The public prosecutor’s office was informed and ordered the arrest of the man, who was brought before an examining magistrate on Wednesday morning.

In addition, the driver also turned out to be inebriated and in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
