708 doctors and dentists who were on stand-by duty during the past weeks are to be paid on Monday.

According to a statement released by the CNS on Saturday, the total amount to be paid out adds up to €13.4 million. CNS stated that this represented the guaranteed minimum of 80 hours, i.e. 40 hours per month, which doctors are entitled to.

This concerns doctors of the services 1,2,3, and 4, i.e. all of those who have worked in the so-called “Centres de soins avancés”, those who have treated non-corona patients at home or via teleconsultation, those who have worked in care homes, and the doctors who have assured the treatment of dental emergencies.
On Friday, the health fund also received the pay statements from doctors in service 5, namely those doctors who worked in hospitals. These will be checked by CNS on Monday and doctors will be paid sometime next week.

This payment only covers the amount for all doctors. Individual adjustments through the effective working time will follow at a later stage.

The doctors and dentists union AMMD recently complained that doctors had not yet been paid for their service during the corona crisis.
