Luxembourg milk producers are concerned over a drop in milk prices, despite a successful 2022.
Around 600 of Luxembourg’s milk suppliers had a successful year, with a 3% increase in profit, but 2023 has already seen milk prices falling. At a press conference on Tuesday, representatives of the country’s dairy farmers warned of the potential ramifications for the industry.
Dairy farmers have proposed a voluntary reduction in milk production, with necessary financial compensation, in order to restore balance to the market.
