In Helmdange, several individuals successfully gained access to a camper van. However, swift police intervention led to the successful apprehension of the culprits.

To deter criminal activity targeting camper vans, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and offering practical safety advice:

  • Whenever possible, park your camper van in an enclosed garage.
  • If a garage is not available, opt for a secure, well-lit location in a busy area.
  • Avoid hiding spare keys inside your camper van.
  • Always lock your camper van, even during brief absences.
  • Ensure all doors, windows, and the boot are securely locked.
  • Activate your camper van’s alarm system if equipped.
  • Refrain from leaving valuables inside your camper van. If unable to take them with you, store them out of sight, such as in the boot or glove compartment.

Traffic offence leads to drink-driving arrest

On Thursday night, a police patrol in the capital’s Gare neighbourhood witnessed a traffic violation on Avenue de la Gare.

Subsequently, the officers stopped the motorist who had disregarded a road sign. Upon approaching the vehicle, they noticed a smell of alcohol. A breathalyser test confirmed the driver’s intoxication, resulting in the immediate suspension of their licence.
