Police received a report of a break-in at a detached house on Rue Prince Henri in Heisdorf at around 5.45pm on Wednesday.
According to initial findings, a relative of the family discovered that an unknown person had gained access to the house by force while the residents were away on holiday. The perpetrator reportedly caused damage to the shutters before leaving the property. The case has been officially recorded and an investigation is underway.
Earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, security staff at a shopping centre on Boulevard F.W. Raiffeisen in Gasperich reported two individuals who had attempted to steal an electric scooter. When confronted by security personnel, the suspects fled, abandoning a bag, a mobile phone, and a pair of pliers at the scene.
A rapid police search operation led to the arrest of two individuals. Officers recovered several items during a search of the suspects, and two mobile phones were seized on the orders of the public prosecutor. The case has been officially recorded and investigations are ongoing.
On Thursday morning, officers were alerted to another break-in, this time at a property on Rue du Kiem in Neudorf. Unknown perpetrators broke into the residence and stole, among other items, an iPad and a MacBook Pro.
