
For the week of 5 to 11 September, the number of people testing positive for Covid-19 remained almost stable with 757 cases compared to 715 cases the previous week. In addition, 319 people were re-infected, representing 29.6% of all those who tested positive, compared to 298 (29.4%) the previous week.
As of 11 September, the number of active infections has decreased to 1,782 from 1,821 on 4 September and the number of those who have recovered from an infection has increased to 285,258 (from 284,463). The average age of those diagnosed with Covid-19 is 42.0 years.
There was one new death related to Covid-19. The age of the deceased was 69 years.
Five new Covid-19 patients were admitted into standard care, compared to four the previous week. There are no Covid-19 patients in intensive care at the moment. The average age of hospitalised Covid-19 patients is 68 years.
For the reporting period, the effective reproduction rate (RT eff) increased to 1.08 (0.87 the previous week), and the positivity rate on all tests performed (prescriptions, contact tracing) increased from 14.58% to 14.72%.
The incidence rate rose to 117 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over seven days, compared to 111 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the previous week. The 75+ age group has the lowest incidence rate (48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), whereas the 30-44 age group has the highest incidence rate (360 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
740 vaccine doses were administered. 474,565 people are considered fully vaccinated, which corresponds to a vaccination rate of 79% in relation to the eligible population (i.e. everyone over the age of 5).
