
In January 2017, the young woman hit an elderly man at the crossing at the entrance to a Cactus car park. Several days later, the man died as a result of his injuries.
The court sentenced the defendant to a six-month suspended prison sentence, a €1,500 fine and a 24-month driving ban. 18 months of the driving ban will be subject to a suspended sentence. The defendant must also pay three civil parties a total of €65,000 in damages.
