TravelCoach drivers dismayed over potential change in regulation of work hours

RTL Today
At the moment, coach drivers are only legally permitted to drive more than six days in a row if they spend a minimum of 24 hours of the trip abroad. A change in regulation is now being discussed, which would allow drivers to work on twelve consecutive days on any trip with a coach.

According to the Luxembourg Federation of Bus and Coach Operators (FLEAA), this new regulation would actually not bring about significant change since the majority of coach trips undertaken by Luxembourgish companies are going abroad.

Unions on the other hand are opposed to the change. Given that one-day trips are not classified as trips abroad, they fear that it might now become possible that they get sent to different destinations on twelve days in a row.
